That's not the point at all, they both got spanked in entirely one-sided fights. It's not like it was controversial or even close for that matter. Gatti didn't quit, McGirt pulled the plug.

You're right .But Lacy still wasn't stopped . Gatti looked worse than Jeff in half the time. Lacy Calzaghe was a unification bout . WHy is a rematch so out of the question?

Didn't MAb get blown out vs. PAc? Yet many want that rematch , don't they ?

I agree! I am kinda thru with this discussion and respectfully disagree with everyone that thinks Lacy shouldnt get a rematch after a few comeback fights...... We will just have to see if it is in the future for both fighters...If Lacy comesback with fury and Ko's or beatsdown a few high profile guys within the next year and Joe is still around...I could see it happening
