Of course, that's one way to look at it. Another way is to say that Israelis continue to expand these contested settlements, refusing to negotiate in good faith..... content with the knowledge that Big Brother Uncle Sam is right behind them wielding a big baseball bat. Well, briefly interrupted by Obama, but already back in the batter's box with Trump. As you say, Israel has absolutely no problem defending itself, and can more than hold its own in any military conflict. However, the fact that most of the international community condemns what they're doing cannot be ignored.

Is Uncle Sam behind them? Barack Obama most certainly is NOT behind them.


They didn't need American help in the 6 day war either. Remember Israel is our ally because we share common beliefs, common goals, and common morals and values....I'm much happier being friendly with Israel than Saudi Arabia.
