What benefit have we received from being a part of the UN? They use our soldiers, they take our money, they operate on the false assumption that all nations are of equal value.....what does America get from the UN?


Also in regards to Israel, they won that land in a war they didn't start. So what you want to punish them for being too good at defending themselves? The Obama Administration has really stabbed Israel in the back, and the cognitive dissonance for them to claim that 'No administration has helped Israel more' is just appalling. Obama is a disgrace, hopefully he doesn't start a shooting war with Russia before his sorry ass is out of office.

Israeli-Arab conflicts, old as time itself, and the U.S. sticking it's gigantic nose where it doesn't belong, is one of the main reasons why the U.S. has suffered from Arab extremists' terrorism. Doesn't make it right, mind you..... but you don't see terrorists flying airliners into tall building in other nations.

I'd much rather be neutral, and let them resolve their own differences. Surely the Israelis wouldn't resort to terrorist bombings against the U.S. if left to deal with their own problems. Among these are some major players (Russia, China, Britain, France, Japan). The U.S. abstained from the vote to pass a resolution urging Israel to halt building settlements on occupied Palestinian land. So I guess the U.S. is also in hot water with Israel... again.

I got my own opinion on this (which I'll initially reserve), but... any thoughts?

Yeah, the Israeli Gov is constitued of top notch assholes. There is just no proper reason to continue to colonize a land that's not their, trying to get time on their side by arguing all sort of idioties and pulling the "anti semite" card everytime someone dare to criticize them for their latent imbicilities. It's sad that Trump wants to reverse the steam once he's in office because FINALLY, things were a tad getting done in the UN and the US, for the first time in a long time, didn't use their veto to make everything abort.

Totally agree. In today's era and environment, I think it's high time the world begins to put a muzzle on these guys. For being such a small country, they sure stir up a lot of shit. Just the fact that you've got all these other countries... who don't always agree on everything... lined up on a resolution against these settlements... speaks volumes about who the damn troublemaker is here. Unfortunately I see a chance of Trump reversing the recent U.S. stance and undoing some of the progress that is trying to be made on the global scene.

Trump is likely to ruin something that was slowly happening after wayyy too long, a chance to quiet these guys down for good and perhaps to enforce a bit of humanity over them.
