Etches is with Poxon (the promoter/matchmaker for this show). Good domestic fight.

never left Oz doesn't really matter, most of the fighters in the top 10 in the UK at all weights have never left England

Who do you want him to fight? Saunders, GGG, Canelo, Jacobs? any of those realistic?

I think its a wise move all in all and a half decent test up in weight

Yah he obviously has a bit of power too this Quinlan. He wiped out Geale.

@ross ...... he hardly hit him then pushed him over

What the fuck! How and why is @smashup editing other people's posts to add his own rubbish?

Ill answer the question though. Take a look at how he responded from that "push" when he tried getting up. He was wiped out!

Whoops! Out of practise, hit edit instead of quote button, it's clearly not rubbish, Geale is a spineless fighter and that's been proven before, no way that "half punch" had that effect on him and then yes he was pushed in the face then fell over, i've seen it a number of times....it's pathetic

You can't have seen what happened after he got up. The ref had to catch him to stop him going over again. He was fucked!

The strength in depth in Britain is much stronger than Australia.

Yeah that would be nice or even anyone "world-class" or at the very least world known -

    Lemieux
    Stevens
    Monroe Jr
    Lee
    N'Dam
    Sulecki
    Quillin
    Murata
    Khurtsidze

And the exact same goes for supermiddle. There are dozens of fighters higher rated/more known than this obscure novice Aussie.

Lemieux is fighting stevens and is it financially realistic to get Monroe jr or Quillin to England?

I wouldn't put him in with lee, all his fights are poor, he is a counter puncher to the extreme

and i'm a boxing fan and I haven't heard of sulecki, murata or the other fella, I think they are raising his stock best they can aren't they?

I thought your stock raised through beating top fighters not knocking over noddies. However, as you said, you don't know the difference between the top ranked guys and this obscure Aussie, which is why they get away with it.

As a boxing fan I just want to see the best fights. Unfortunately the Eubank's are all mouth and no trousers but, again, they're clearly getting away with it so....

ha, whether I know the difference between an obscure Aussie and a top ranked geezer is irrelevant isn't it?

Eubank is fighting for a belt on ITV box office a weight up against a current world champion who has just knocked out Daniel Geale

And its getting lots of exposure and is for the most part self promoting - mainly because people are massive moaning bastards , but still

could they have done much better?

Junior could have moved up to European champion because that is the level of opponent he has been facing.

Yes, I was agreeing with you, it's irrelevant that it's a mismatch (he's 200/1 on) if you don't know or care who he fights and buy into the "world" champion lark.

From an actual sporting perspective it would be nice to see Eubank's actually have a meaningful step up in class against a quality fighter though.
