I went to Metallica's concert in San Juan last October, and now I'm thinking about asking for a refund.

Metallica died when they did 'Some Kind of Monster'.....therapy sessions?!?!?! That was straight out of fucking 'Spinal Tap'. They are so fucking full of themselves...politics? They are musicians of course they have a more left wing take on things.


I don't watch movies or listen to music based on someone's politics, if I did then every movie would star ME and every song would be sung and played by ME and hell I don't always agree with myself if you give me long enough to think about it.


I'm not a Metallica guy I liked Van Halen and Guns'N'Roses better than them always have always will....and I am CERTAIN that Van Halen and GNR have very similar political views to Metallica but I don't care just play the fucking music and shut the fuck up! Act and shut the fuck up!




Alec Baldwin, complete loony tune lefty and quite possibly a horrible human being....I love his work as an actor Hunt For Red October, Glengarry Glen Ross...fucking brilliant. The more he spouts off about politics, the harder time I have enjoying his movies but I still enjoy them.

Would that be the same as only listening to opinions that are the same as yours, blocking any internet content that doesn't chime with your own viewpoint, and then continually surfing the net for inane videos that chime with your own world view, and then posting them continuously? I suspect we may have a couple of people like that on this forum, which contains less and less boxing threads.

I still post to the boxing forum on this site X but I believe you'll agree that as of right now bigger things are happening outside of boxing than inside of boxing ergo my commenting on such. We don't ONLY talk boxing here, we talk different topics with other boxing fans do we not? Otherwise the forum would just be the boxing and training forums.



Good for you, I saw Axle Rose and Dizzy Reed as GNR on the Chinese Democracy tour....Mr. Rose was in good shape and sang quite well. The wife and I are going to see Red Hot Chili Peppers this Spring.

If a band or actor go out of the way to make a political statement that I disagree with it will turn me off from rushing out to see something they made. I won't necessarily boycott them but I will stop rushing to see what they made.

The disgust I felt watching a bunch of 40-something rock stars (one with bleached blonde hair like Eminem) talking about their feelings... I can't even describe. As a huge Metallica fan I can't watch that. I'd rather walk in on my mother performing a rusty trombone on a hispanic. I have several times and I know it isn't as bad as Some kind of Monster Saint Anger sucked ass too btw.

Death Magnetic and their latest one are good, not great, but I enjoy them.

Speaking of Metallica and politics, I listened to James on the JRE and he was talking about how he had to move away from San Fransisco because there were way too many snowflake lefties casting judgement on his lifestyle (big hunter) and beliefs. He lives in a small town in Colorado now.
