Watched the fight this morning thought Cruz did extremely well with his reach n range very disciplined bit like Frampton in the 1st fight, had Cruz 3 rounds up, respect to Carl after the fight, if Cruz boxes like that again in fight 3 the Jackel is in trouble.

I heard Johnny Nelson criticise Shane saying that he was telling Carl what is was doing wrong but not telling him what he had to do to win.

Does that mean that Shane is a bit over rated and when it comes to handling the big fights he does not have a plan B?

No. It means Johnny Nelson has an opinion. I never heard Nelson say that , so can't comment on thy specifically, but I don't believe that Johnny Nelson is the oracle of Boxing.

I have watched the fight and I had it a draw. I did not enjoy the fight at all and there was a lot of missing and inaction early on which is where Cruz supposedly won the fight.

Frampton finished stronger and should have forced the fight throughout the contest. Carl would have made Cruz revert to type and out boxed him.

They should not bother with a 3rd fight yet and meet at a later time if they need it.

Wow! I thought it was a really interesting fight. Watching the changes Santa Cruz made after the first fight , using the jab more and nicking rounds in the last 30 seconds of rounds with massive work rate.
You have to respect the fact that Santa Cruz is a 3 weight World Champion before saying "Carl should've done this" and "Shane should've said that". Sometimes you just meet the better man on the night.
I also think Frampton loses nothing in defeat, he was top class before, during and after, just as Santa Cruz was in the 1st fight.
In this day and age where some fighters talk themselves into big money fights, I thought it was refreshing that 2 guys just went out there (twice) and left it all in the ring. I hope they put a 3rd fight on and both make a shit load of dough, they deserve it.
I know Frampton wants it in Belfast, can't blame him, but I think it will be in Vegas, as I reckon they will have caught the imagination of the U.S. Audience.

You should call your mother an apologize that is such shitty scoring. Leo outlanded him in literally every single round. Only round 3 and 7 were even close in punches landed.

Those rounds you blindly saw Frampton finishing stronger he was outlanded

    Round 9 12-25
    Round 10 7-14
    Round 11 16-24
    Round 12 19-28

A draw, embarrassing. Maybe it's best for some not to score fights because sheesh, that's awful. Saying he closed stronger is equally embarrassing. In summation everything said was embarrassingly wrong. Put down the drugs.

I knew what I said would be unpopular but the first fight was better. Ron, even the judges had Frampton winning the last couple of rounds.

The President of the World Boxing Association (WBA) has cast doubt on the prospect of a third fight between Carl Frampton and Leo Santa Cruz.

Gilberto Mendoza said the WBA may order a mandatory fight between featherweight champion Santa Cruz and his fellow Mexican Abner Mares.

Frampton beat Santa Cruz in New York in July 2016 before losing the Las Vegas rematch on points last month.

The Northern Irishman has said he wants to stage a trilogy fight in Belfast.

Mendoza has instead indicated Mares could be Santa Cruz's next opponent.

The pair fought two years ago for the WBA super featherweight title in Los Angeles, Santa Cruz beating the Mexican on a majority points decision.

Speaking at a press conference in Panama, Mendoza said the announcement could come within a week if Santa Cruz and Belfast fighter Frampton fail to reach an agreement for a third fight.

Santa Cruz would have to choose the option of a mandatory defence against Mares, or vacate the belt, possibly paving the way for Frampton to fight IBF world champion Lee Selby.
