The trouble with the internet is that any old idiot can post their delusional, half formed and ignorant thought up. Other idiots then pluck half facts, lies and their own delusional half formed and ignorant thoughts up.

Nobody ever actually engages in a debate, nobody ever changes their mind because all they want to see are factoids and lies that already concur with their own. It just always ends up as a shouting match.

You see this all over the Internet, on social media, in political discussions, in blogs and tweets. It is now bleeding over into face to face debate and political discussion elsewhere. One side is convinced the other side is actually deranged and evil and vice versa ...... and thus there is no respect for an opposing viewpoint and things polarise even further.

Unfortunately, I see this becoming more prevalent on Saddoboxing now too. It's supposed to be (mainly😀) a boxing forum - admittedly with some gross pictures, general insults and jokes et al.

Yesterady, of 79 'new posts', sixty two were about fucking politics.

For people doing their job? When you are a journalist it us your job to report what happens. Not to report to the head of state. It's not a communist dictatorship.
