Jr had only ever gone 8 rounds against mediocre opposition. He jumped in with the British, European and commonwealth champ who had done 12 a few times. That was a mistake. Jr needed to feel that distance before a title challenge or at least be tested against a hard old campaigner. To go from being an almost novice to giving Saunders his hardest fight and only losing on a split shows how good he could be. When he started turning it up Saunders couldn't cope and the ref kept him in the fight at one point in the last round I think.

Jrs fitness and stamina are unbelievable and he will give anyone a tough fight. He will give Golovkin more problems than he's ever had to face and I think would beat him. He just needs some serious fights. Beating up Chudinov, Osullivan and Blackwell isn't good enough but who else is there. Prepare him for Golovkin? No one that would be willing to risk their standing without getting big money I'd bet.
Ok, so which fights should we judge Jr. on? BJS is the best he has fought to date, and he blew it. on what basis can that possibly mean he is capable of beating GGG, undeniably the best guy in the division?
Hey, when they get in the ring , they all stand a punchers chance, that's the name of the game, but that's Jr.'s problem isn't it? he doesn't get in the ring with GGG. He had the chance and fucking blew it, whether that was down to him , his Dad , the Cat or whatever, the fact remains that he had his fucking chance and didn't take it.
The whole of the Boxing hierarchy is seeing this Eubank circus for what it is . Even ITV are taking the piss really. Yeah, we'll pay you peanuts, but you can have the PPV. at £10 - £12 a shot , he probably stands to make at least £50!!!
Who do you judge him on? We'll you can't because he still hasn't fought a top world class fighter yet but what you can see is a marked difference with the abandon on how many punches he throws since the Saunders fight. His very next fight just 3 months later against Chudinov his stamina was there on show in the last round when he reeled off that massive onslaught. He's not loading up on every shot and tiring himself, he's throwing the the intention to keep throwing.
Fighters who were supposed to give him a tough fight got absolutely battered. Osullivan got pulled out. Blackwell...

Hes doing what you would expect a world class fighter to do to lower level opposition, he's making them look like they don't belong in there with him.

If Murray were to fight Eubank Jr at middle I seriously doubt he lasts as long with Eubank as he did with Golovkin. Same goes for Brook.
I'd probably still fancy Murray against Eubank Jr. Despite the fact that I reckon Murray's best days are way behind him.
It's all conjecture, but I reckon Murray at his best was better than Eubank Jr. Has ever been. He certainly achieved more than Eubank Jr. Has to date. Obviously that may change, but Jr. is 28 now. 28! Not some up and coming kid.
