How come nobody is standing up for gibbons here?

What has a gibbon ever done to anybody, that calling somebody one is an insult? I don't recall any gibbons shovelling other gibbons into gas chambers. My history lessons at school omitted to tell me about gibbon wars of conquest, when they enslaved other gibbons and used other animals as test subjects for makeup.

I can't think of a well known gibbon fascist in history, nor about any gibbons taking performance enhancing drugs or surgery to enhance their gibbonness.

in fact, I challenge anybody to think of something bad that gibbons as a whole have ever done. As any fan if The Goodies will know; dogs are always howlin', Cats are always yowlin' but gibbons only like to sing and dance, oop, oop sh boop
