This is actually pretty stiff competition for Valuev

Barrett's more like Larry Donald, who beat Valuev IMO, than probably anybody else Valuev's fought. Barrett isn't as slick as Donald though.

It's good competition for Valuev because Barrett hasn't fought IN A YEAR!

Monte is a good fighter when he's active and well focused and he's better when guys attack him and pressure him to fight back which means this is EXCELLENT for Valuev who's big slow and ugly (I just had to throw that in there).

Valuev wins a boring decision and raises questions about defense, stamina, and chin ....people will want to see Nicolay fight Wlad after this fight make no doubts about it
