2 undefeated World Champions in a Massive unification fight and Haye v Bellew (non title/missmatch) slaughters it in terms of forum interest.

Fuck whether it's PPV worthy or not, a good fight is a good fight - i like to be entertained when i watch a fight and want to see a fight.

Nothing wets the beak more than a British Domestic grudge match and the Boisterous and noisey UK fans just add to the whole vibe

    I can't wait for Saturday
Which again shows the stupidity of the British boxing fan.
Garcia and Thurman are Americans and their fight is on at stupid o'clock British time

I don't think British people are stupid for getting more excited about a fight between two big British names at heavyweight that is on at reasonable time

Look at video views on all the youtube boxing channels - American as well as British - for Garcia-Thurman compared with Haye-Bellew, they're not even close in numbers. Haye-Bellew literally is getting hundreds of thousands of views per video compared with Garcia-Thurman struggling to get above low four figures.

It's not just British fans, it's ALL fans.

Am I really getting drawn into this?

Look at this chin and now he wants to go up to HW and try it out against Haye who is known to hit pretty hard? Bellew has balls, but he has a little head and gets knocked down quite a lot. It's a joke. It will likely be like that Haye/Enzo Mac fight. I'm staying in bed!

Shut up Miles you miserable two bob cunt.

You comment on about half-a-dozen fights a year, some of us are far, far bigger boxing fans than you, it's been acknowledged all through the thread that this is a probable mismatch.

However, to many, many boxing lovers it's still fun, exciting and unmissable/hearable. Why? Because what if we're WRONG? It's one night of entertainment, that's it.

I dunno. To me it's like having to sit through all of those pointless Amir Khan fights against overmatched smaller men. There's the chance one of them will spark him, but it takes about 2 dozen fights to see it and in the meanwhile people are paying money to further his career. I would get it if it was a really good CW stepping up, but don't see it. I would much rather see Haye against Briggs as you know Briggs can take a punch and can hit hard too. It's just a fact that Garcia/Thurman is a far juicier fight too.

Anyways, I hope it happens too. I always go with the underdog, but I can't see anything other than Bellew doing the stanky leg thing in round 2.

I don't really understand the Americans seemingly being more excited about Haye Bellew than Garcia Thurman

I reckon if you switched their nationalities Id be more interested in the British fight regardless

I mean shit, I'm more looking forward to Cheeseman than Garcia Thurman!

And that is purely because his name is Cheeseman, am I right?

I couldn't care less what people watch/like, no-one is forced, you have a choice, it's personal preference.

However, the fact you (Miles and the other arrogant hypocrites) call fans "mugs" yet champion a fighter who's two decades past his best, whose had one fight in ten years against a top rated opponent, that left him in intensive care, says it all.

It is more than likely that most will watch both cards anyway because of the time difference. Boxing from the grass roots up has always been as much about entertainment and show business as sporting prowess, tactical nous and displaying heart and art in equal measure. From the fields through the booths a big mouth pantomime villain, the chance of an underdog upsetting the apple cart and an out sized or over matched opponent bringing down Goliath has and always will be a big part of it's appeal.

If Garcia-Thurman was on the London card it would be the 2nd "most fight i'm looking forward to" this weekend - behind Egg-Paulie.

Ohara-Derry and the gimme for Selby against Warwick Davis, Rhino Dave and the Cheeseman (who needs a nickname) i'm looking forward to all of it.

Floyd Mayweather insists the ball is in Conor McGregor's court ahead of a potential superfight between the pair.

Two-weight UFC champ McGregor and unbeaten boxing legend Mayweather continue to be linked with a big-money showdown which is tipped to smash box office records should a deal be struck.

And the American insists he has 'done his part' to make the fight happen.

Speaking to the BBC, he said: "I can't say if it's going to happen. It's all up to the UFC.

"I've done my part. I'm just waiting. If they want the fight to happen, let's see.

"When it comes to money, of course I'm always thinking business. But it's about entertainment. It's a very, very entertaining match-up."

Mayweather also took aim at David Haye ahead of the Londoner's grudge match with domestic rival Tony Bellew at The O2 on Saturday night.

Haye referred to Bellew's fans as 'f****** r*****s' at a press conference in the Bomber's native Liverpool earlier this week.

And Mayweather says he didn't even realise the Hayemaker was still active, before condemning his pre-fight antics.

"This is my first time hearing about the David Haye fight," added Mayweather. "I didn't know he was still fighting.

"As far as trash talk goes - it's OK to trash talk. But being disrespectful is different.

"I heard he was talking about the fans. He should focus on the fighter."

Floyd Mayweather insists the ball is in Conor McGregor's court ahead of potential superfight
