They've still been trying to sell tickets all week and the PPV buys are projected to be really low. It's a fight between a geezer with no fans (Jacobs was getting booed at the weigh-in - "Brooklyn in da house!!!" Gets booed. Imagine a UK fighter getting coated off in his hometwown. Weird.) and a foreigner.

As far as the dough goes though - Not many fighters are on 7-figure paydays, no American based fighter barring Pac, Canelo and Cotto will get more than $2.5m.

Wilder - American heavyweight champion - got $900,000 his last fight. Thurman-Garcia $2m each. Broner $1m. Ward $2m etc...

There has not been any real interest in the 160 division since Pavlik was the champ not mention the 160 division been pretty barren with not many big names especially in America. Wilder to a lot of people is just a trinket holder America has not had a real heavyweight champ since Holyfeild it has been huge drought. Not to mention MMA taken some eyes off boxing and seems to be growing everywhere in the world but here kinda staying the same.

Jacobs has binned off the IBF check weigh in so he cant win that belt. Not that it matters, the belts are redundant in this one.

It seems as if Jacobs is relying so much of Kell Brook's early success against GGG and is saying to himself: "If Kell can do it, why can't I? Plus, I'm bigger and stronger."

But NOT quicker. Add the fact that GGG almost intentionally stood in front of Brook.

well I'm all geared up for the long night ahead, I've just realized that Iron Fist is now on Netflix so I can get a fair few episodes watched before the boxing starts

    Jacobs has already lost.

If he's not bothered about making weight and getting the ibf belt then he can't be bothered about anything else.

    So unprofessional.

This is a cracking matchup but I don't think Jacobs is tough enough to take a beating. Getting ironed out by Pirog ain't half as bad as being dumped by Mora - it wasn't even a nothing flash knockdown, he sat there like a space man then had a wibble-wobble standing up.

Jacobs can obviously punch, but I can't see Golovkin getting snipered with one shot, you'd need to bash him up to stop him. Golovkin is too smart to start reckless, he'll have a little look at first, which will make Jacobs sniper right-hand from distance look sexy, then Golovkin will take the distance away from him, force him to fight going backwards and it's goodnight vienna.

    Golovkin KO rd 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 at a general 10/1-14/1.

(sorry to write this, not my style, but I'd be surprised if Jacobs isn't brutally knocked out)
