Who says the Billy Joe fight is meaningless? Team Canelo? Yeah ok.

Team Canelo's specialty is empty talk. Canelo calling out GGG after he beat Cotto? Empty talk.
Captain Fishnets claiming they were letting the Canelo-GGG fight "marinate" before making it? Empty talk.
Team Canelo insisting GGG come down to JMW when Canelo is perfectly capable of fighting at MW or above? Empty talk.
They can't fight at 160, but they can fight at 164.5, whatever the f*ck that means.

DLH's posturing is empty and indefensible. Pure and simple.

    No Oscar said the opposite.

Team Golovkin are disrepecting Canelo and Billy Joe for obvious/already explained reasons.

The only way BJS can prove he is being disrespected by GGG is by beating him.

Canelo has been disrespecting GGG for years now.

    Team Golovkin is disrespecting Canelo??

How, pray tell....... by continuing to fight on while DLH/ Canelo find more and more excuses NOT to fight him?

Sorry bro. The "Good Jokes" thread is on the Off Topic board.

So let me see if I understand this correctly............

GGG is "disrespecting" (whatever the f*ck that means here) Canelo by fighting BJS in June.....

but Canelo is NOT disrespecting GGG by fighting JCC Jr. in May??!!??

This shit couldn't be made up by a stand-up comedian.

Deny it all you want, what Oscar said was perfectly reasonable, doesn't matter a jot what happened in the past.

If the fight against Billy Joe is so easy that they can agree to fight Canelo and be ready for the promotional tour, media commitments and training camp within days of facing Billy Joe then they don't even need to risk something going wrong.

Because the Canelo-JCC Jr. fight the month before has no risks of its own?
Seriously... do you buy it or do you just shovel it?

If the Canelo fight can be guaranteed then GGG should forgo the Saunders fight. I heard that De La Hoya was considering a purse split now. Talk is cheap tho. Send the contract then Golovkin has something concrete to work with rather than just words.

Oscar De La Hoya, doubting Gennady Golovkin's drawing power, will redo offer for Canelo fight - LA Times

Of COURSE! That was about the only excuse left for Team Canelo not to face GGG!!

Now DLH is going to "recraft" another deal with GGG, meaning he's found yet ANOTHER excuse to avoid Canelo having to fight him. Now it's because GGG is not enough of a draw. Seriously... does DLH believe he's dealing with a bunch of morons in the boxing public? Well... scratch that. Blind fans will believe whatever B.S. comes out of DLH's mouth.

So let's recap some of the excuses Team Canelo has used to avoid GGG.

First, the fight had to "marinate". The implication that it was too soon. You have to let the hype train run for awhile. Ok.

Then there was the weight factor. Sure... we'll fight GGG. Come down to 154 and we'll fight. Of course, after you kill yourself making the weight, we'll re-hydrate up to 180 and you'll be weakened.

Then it was the BJS fight. Never mind we're fighting Junior in May. You're fighting BJS in June and thus you're somehow disrespecting us.
    Fight's off!!

Finally, it's that GGG isn't enough of a draw... and DLH will proceed to make some ridiculous offer to GGG just so blind fans can see that an offer was made. When GGG tells Team Canelo to go to hell... it'll be proof that Canelo wanted GGG, but it was GGG that didn't want to fight.

At this point, I don't care who it is. I'm just dying for any true middleweight to get Canelo in the ring, hopefully somewhere in the same weight neighborhood..... and proceed to beat the living shit out of him.
