I'm sure there are lots of elite fighters and athletes of all sorts who are gay or bisexual and have never come out publicly due to the crap they would receive, Cruz just doesn't happen to be one on either front. Not to stir anything up or make false accusations, but isn't it rumoured Lennox Lewis was one of them? Frankie Gavin lost to a domestic level journeyman in his last fight, I'm sure there are gay men who would or would have beaten him. Not to mention in boxing you have weight classes, which don't mean anything in the real world. Anyone around the size of a Flanagan would get the shit kicked out of them by lots of gay people on the street, who cares? Only quite small minded people make this into an issue.

Cruz didn't deserve this fight to begin with. He didn't show much desire but it wouldn't surprise me if he continues to get title fights just cus he is gay. Terry can move on to big fights now, he is in a good position in a good division

Without trying to be Homophobic here...... It's gotta be the ultimate Career Failure in Boxing to lose a title fight to a Gay boxer?

I mean it's a Man/Macho Sport at the end of the day and im only saying what most of us are thinking (but don't have the balls to type it out), when it comes down to it.

Personally (if I was Flanagan) you'd have to beat me to death within those 12 rounds to win the fight.
