I don't think it will have an affect on mythical fight predictions just because a fighter was inducted. There are a few that are inducted to The International Boxing Hall of Fame that I guess fans feel shouldn't be there. Mythical fights are predicted on what we know about the fighter, how we think their styles would mesh etc. Personally I feel The International Boxing Hall of Fame has become somewhat of a popularity contest in some regards. Although the most recent inductees are hard to argue against. I understand it tho as the more fighters they get attending the HOF weekends the more sales will increase.

I understand your philosophy behind the mythical fight predictions and how that wouldn't really play a role, but do you think that being inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame would become equal in achievement to winning a professional world title (for a boxer who retired without ever holding a title)? Would such induction help with his legacy?

Thanks for taking the time to share your views! I just want to clarify and make sure that I holistically understand your viewpoint. Looking forward to reading more of your take!

Many greats have never won titles. Briscoe, Burley, Bivins, Langford etc. A great fighter is a great fighter! Some guys like Broner have won titles in 4 divisions but couldn't hold a candle to the guys I've mentioned. Hall of Fame should be a recognition of a fighters career among his/ her peers as one of the best to ever participate in the sport.
