It seems like a good strategic decision for the Tories to call an election now.

The so-called Opposition are in disarray, the worst I have ever seen them. They are led by an unelectable 1970's mediocrity who seems something of a Cold War communist stooge, and spend all their time squabbling amongst themselves.

The Lib Dems are pretty irrelevant, they have been abandoned by everyone since they threw their principles out of the window and allied with the conservatives.

It also might make sense in Scotland - if the Tories do well there, they can say it was a vote against any referendum. If they do badly, they can say we have just had a Brexit referendum and also a general election, and then put any Scottish independence vote on the back burner.

I'm not especially a May fan, but she does seem to be the more competent of a very uninspiring lot.

]Who cares about the word flip flop. People have to be flexible man people have to go with the flow reality is in a constant state of fluid at the and motion and you have to be flexible and go with the flow. If you make certain campaign promises and then 6 months later unseen events force you to sort of recalibrate And restrategize that is not considered flip-flopping. Nothing is in a complete state of vacuum. Nothing is static. People are so concerned about words like flip flop that they don't see the forest for the trees. This is Gandalf's problem. He cannot see the forest for the trees. Gandalf is so focused on the trees that he could be a deer or a bird fluttering and fluttering from one branch to another and not realize that he is actually in an entire Forest.
