Persecution of Christians is a human rights issue, says Pakistani archbishop

I think we should be tolerant of the religious beliefs of others, and people should have the freedom to believe whatever they want without persecution (as long as they are not hurting others).

In 1966 the UN adopted the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which includes religious belief:

Everyone shall have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. This right shall include freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief of his choice, and freedom, either individually or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice and teaching.
