which brings me to my idea of how to score a fight

there are 18 judges, 3 judges score each of the rounds so each judge scores 2 rounds

who ever you think wins the round they get 1 point and another point per KD

the winner would be the one with the highest score over all

each judge would come into each round they score fresh and relatively uninfluenced

more judges also reduces the risk of personal bias
I kind of like this actually but it's take ages to tally up the scores after the fight and also it'd only really work if the judges could only see the rounds they were scoring which could lead to delays in between rounds trying to get the new judges in place.

Only problem is that the 3 judges are pretty ingrained in boxing and I can't see them making any drastic changes anytime soon.
