I just don't think Canelo will hurt GGG.
His punches might not be that effective at this weight.
He needs to try and outbox him and use all those 26 years against GGG 35 years.
If GGG wins I want the BJS fight and Jacobs rematch straight away..and is Lara still a viable choice?

GGG might be another Hopkins and fight on for another 5 years..
Canelo got tired in the middle rounds against Chavez..the size difference was massive.
I was expecting oscar to drag it out until Autumn 2018..quite surprised it's happening now.
You listed the problem with the fight. Canelo's stamina. The hope to make this fight competitive fell on the idea moving up in weight would improve his stamina. To beat GGG you have to move and when trapped move your hands. He cuts off the ring so well there is constant pressure. That drains a fighter. But he doesn't do his best work when things are coming back at him. He does amazing damage if you stop fighting though because of his punch selection and technique. If Canelo moved up and his stamina jumped maybe he could move (even though he is slow of foot) and throw and move again because he has good hand speed and good enough power. But his stamina leads him to take breaks. GGG isn't the guy to take breaks against. GGG makes you fight 36 full minutes and Canelo is not about that action.
For Canelo to win he has to out box GGG for 36 minutes. For GGG to win he only has to hold his own when they both fight and do what he does(damage) when Canelo does what he does(takes breaks)

We're supposed to give Fishnets credit for this fight finally being made?? Really?
Tell me... what possible excuse on this planet was DLH going to be able to conjure up for NOT fighting Golovkin, after Canelo predictably dispatched the "big-name-punching-bag" in front of him Saturday night? What excuse was Oscar going to dredge up for not facing GGG at 160 after his boy fought Junior at 164.5. Not to mention that the fight night weights were never even remotely mentioned, so as to not overemphasize the fact that Ginger Pubes could be fighting at cruiser if he wanted to.
Oscar did the ONLY thing he could do in the face of what was happening in front of him.... he caved. If anything, Oscar should be apologizing to boxing fans for having avoided GGG as long as he did. This fight should've happened right after Cotto-Canelo. Hopefully in September, Ginger will finally be exposed, and we can all call it a day.
I wil not critize this fight at all. I already took the night off for 18 sept. I am truly exited for this fight. I saw golovkin fight macklin at a local casino and you could feel his punches thirty rows back. It was like being a a concert and hearing a bass drum. I personally don't think canelo has a great chance but it's two guys in a ring and anything can happen. I'm assuming this is a ppv fight, what do u think 80 usd. I really don't care at this point unfortunately a good match hS become a vacation day to me with my shitty schedule. I love triple G, not as much as I love @Gandalf but close. If you guys want to come over and watch the fight you are more than welcome. Canelo needs to take rounds off ggg doesnt. I'm still pissed at canelo cause he lost against Austin Trout despite winning. Trout, who was one of my favorites sunk into obscurity after that bullshit payed off judges fight.

I tried to sit there and watch a full non lagging version of Canelo v Chavez last night. I don't mind and fully get the pre hype post hype sell job and treating this merely as a formality. It's fully expected and for a mega fight that has had the shelf life of Golovkin-Canelo and it's natural for boxing to turn full on wwe these days. But I'm not sure what it is..honestly having a hard time losing my mind in anticipation that it's finally official and I won't be counting down the days. Oh now I'm all over it and will be forking over some dough don't get me wrong, just that it's been so played out and in the back of my mind waiting for the other shoe to drop and something to knock it off courseI watched Canelo spar a lackluster "just glad to be here" Chavez and could not get the Trout fight out of my mind and again Canelos over effort to show that he could box and almost coast while in control. Not knocking a guy for winning but just expected to see him kick in the door and press advantages going into his "super fights". Strangely enough I have the exact same feeling now in that Canelo will be saddled with another L and be a bit of a let down. Definitely not comparing Golovkin to Mayweather, nor Chavez to Trout with respects to styles and levels but more convinced now that Golovkin will be the one stepping it up performance wise and brutally welcoming Canelo to the legitimacy of middleweight he's been so hesitant to venture into.
