Two excellent fights.
Although Yafai was the clear winner (not as wide as the scorecards) Muranaka was beyond hard. The fight was like Morales-McCullough, the more talented harder hitter had to give up trying to out-muscle the relentless granite punching machine to rely on some slicker skills, but was never given a second to coast.
Although a big jump in class I'd give Yafai a go at Choco because he'll have a good natural size advantage. Inoue, Rungvisai, Cuadras - what a division. The casual/non-supernerds don't care but a whole host of South American, Japanese and Filipinos that make for great fights.
Sam Eggarito is impossible to not like. Never in a dull fight, rock-solid, heavy-handed, balls, is aware of his limitations. Terrific highlight reel chinage to seal a close-ish fight. Stick him in with Broner![]()
