Why? Where you just as disappointed when Pat Russell was chosen to ref Brook v Porter ?

I've never had any concern over any Porter fight. They are all awful to me. But I'm looking forward to Brook vs Spence more than any fight this year. And this man has a history of getting himself involved in fights where he has no business being involved. And no I don't mean just how he completely botched Froch/Groves 1. A history

Less than a week to go, everyone excited?

I just watched behind the ropes again. I found it strange they showed bits of Kell's plan but then when they showed sparring he wasn't working on what his trainer suggested at all. In fact he was regularly moving a bit right.

I think they deliberately showed that to double bluff Spence and his team.

I enjoyed the show, Spence is a proud Texan.

It has the potential to be a brilliant contest. It also has the potential to end early, with both sides having decent power, and great technique/timing. Brook might surprise a few with his boxing IQ in this one. Spencer is going to bring it and has a very well rounded arsenal but he leaves openings and Kell can be quite devastating if you leave holes. Either may have to get back up off the canvas in what I think will be a war which will not go to points. Brook for me, by KO /TKO late.

Me and a few mates who always meet up for big fights are doing the all dayer, loads of booze and starting off with the FA cup final which will run nicely into the Boxing undercards.

My mates nearly finished his "Man Shed" in his garden, TV, Beer Fridge, sofas, wooden flooring and bi-fold doors - very impressive considering he made it himself from spares at the Howdens depot he works at.

Think the weathers nice too so Looking forward to a good session Saturday

[COLOR=#000000][B][FONT=Lato]Froch voices concern that Groves won't be the fighter he was after Gutknecht was left paralysed after his last fight

“I would put it down as it is unfortunate that the kid has got injured, a terrible injury and you wouldn’t want it to happen to anyone, but you have to move on. I don’t think George has said anything since that would say to me he won’t be the guy he was.”

Didn't realise the bookies had spence as a pretty strong favourite... may have to stick 100 on Brook...

Lets hope Foster is not doing the Groves fight, he could be on a percentage of the re-match!

Watched a proper nerdy breakdown video matching both fighters styles on youtube (surprisingly it was unbiased/very good, the Latino sounding geezer doing it definitely wasn't a kid) - Spence will kill Brook on the inside (unless he ties him up) but it also highlighted the firepower Spence will need to walk through to get where he wants, which includes Brook's bread and butter vicious uppercut when Spence does get there. Fascinating. Also highlighted Brook's superb distance/reflexes which allows him to pick fighters off, detonate the one-two.

And that's ignoring his genuine top world-class face buster jab.

Spence has never fought a big puncher. It's stretching it to pick out one incidence but Spence has been punched semi-drunk before, albeit briefly.

Brook KO is 5/1 in a place. Brook to score a knockdown is generally 5/2!!!
