Awful...but I am afraid this kind of tragedy will win no headlines, it will touch no hearts, it will have no reaction from the global community because......well because those are Christians in another area of the world and they must be stopped regardless of how long they've been there. Horrible stuff.

I don't think people are really that callous. Less than a month ago 68 Syrian kids were killed on a bus (126 dead in total) by a suicide bomber despite all those Muslims killed in Syria it was still reported.

Maybe they aren't, maybe it's just in the Middle East that kind of shit happens every fucking day and people are emotionally too drained from it all.

Whether it's a Christian getting shot, a Rohingya being ethnically cleansed or .... bacon being put on a mosque. They are all pretty weak minded repugnant hate crimes.

Ive got to disagree about the media comment though. All media websites run with underlying algorithms which let them know which news stories get the most views, and the same AI chooses to post similar stories which might generate more views.

The Muslim bacon on mosque thing is an Internet storm, fed by AI, which gives people the news they deserve to get (maybe anyway) because that's the story getting read.

People like news which already confirms their own biases. You might not, but I can guarantee you that's why that news piece got so viral.

Well X it's not like your statements has no validity but we know Facebook had teams of people, not just algorithms that feed people particular news. This holds true with most major news sites. It's nice to think an unbiased code feeds us what we want but that is not how it is, it's more human manipulation. Who wrote the codes anyway? Man or are they some type of alpha code
