Are you crazy? Hatton actually won the fight fair and square against Collazo, though it was close. Quintana won every single round and dismantled Julio. Julio gets the first round because of the knockdown, but he didn't even win that round either!!!

Maybe it was but for Cotto's first fight at 147 its very impressive, I doubt that many people would have complained if Cotto had taken on a no hoper cause its a move up in weight and a lot of guys do that, Quintana's a very solid first fight at a new weight. I don't see any reason to complain about it, Urkal was boring, this is a good fight.
I agree. But Hatton took a bigger risk in fighting Collazo. And now that everyone has SEEN Collazo, I thought maybe Cotto should take that risk and see if he could do better.

Quintana is the easier fight no doubt. But I thought SOMEONE should at least give Collazo a shot.
At the time though i'm not sure people thought Collazo was a bigger risk. Not everybody saw the Rivera fight, I saw it but it was hard to tell if Collazo was that good or if Rivera was S***. Rivera's turned out to be allright.

Collazo should get a shot but another thing is that Collazo's with Don King right? If Arum and King can avoid working together they probably will, it wouldn't be a superfight or anything, probably easier to work out a deal with Quintana than Collazo.

And I don't know if Quintana's the easier fight NO DOUBT, he may well be but Quintana's got a lot of promise, they're both skilled lefthanders, Quintana might be stronger, Collazo's a bit more experienced.
Quintana has a lot of promise but this is the wrong guy to find that out against. He's jumping from a Guppy to a Shark and he's still a goldfish.
By the way, Quintana is 29 years old and even though he has 23 fights, he is very experienced in the ring. He's no goldfish.

He doesn't seem to plant his feet long enuff to get good leverage on his punches either. Compare Quinatana's opposition to that of Cotto's, there's no comparison. Let's go Cotto!
Hulk, with all due respect, I don't think you've ever seen Quintana fight!!! The guys is a thing of beauty!! He knows what he's doing in there. He is way better than what you describe!!! Quintana has 18 out of 23 KO's and he had Julio hurt and Julio's fought at 154!!! The only one who has better ring generaliship at 147 is Mayweather!!!

He beat Julio and thats it. He could have 50 fights, but given his competition. He's still a goldfish, he hasn't faced anyone NEAR Cotto. So he's still a goldfish, he beat Julio. Julio is green and doesn't know what a jab is or a body shot is for that matter. What's gonna happen when Quintana is faced with all these things for the first time. Cotto is going to overwhelm him. Quintana is brave..but Cotto is going to overwhelm him with crisp accurate shots.

that being said Majesty...Cotto better not take him lightly! Slick southpaws are nothing to be messed with whether journeymen, bums, or youngsters...it's always difficult to fight them.

Cotto is saved by his attacks to the body...he's good at that and never backs away from it

Quintana will fight Cotto the way Paulie was supposed to and he won't complain about the ring. Don't get me wrong-I, as a Puerto Rican, don't even know who to root for!! I am happy that a fight is being made based on paper (and not the green stuff). By the way, Quintana is the first fighter Cotto could probably lose to. The others Cotto fought were fighters he shouldn't lose to, if you know what I mean. By the way, Julio, as green as he was, was better than any fighter Cotto ever fought, though Cotto's resume is peppered with many well-known names. Julio would have beaten all the fighters Cotto beat, while we are at it. Basically, don't sleep on Quintana, especially if you haven't seen him fight. Watch the Julio fight and watch Quintana's style. Few fight like him!! Watch it, you'll see he will be a player in the division!!

If Julio went to the body then we wouldn't be talking about Quintana. His turn away style defense exposes his ribs and Cotto may as well break them. Ask Virgil hill what happened when Roy did it to him

Julio isn't better then Corley he just hits harder. Julio probably is a harder puncher then anyone Cotto has faced, but it doesn't make him better then everyone on Cotto's resume.

I'm not sleeping on Quintana, he looked good against Julio but in looking good it was more what Julio didn't do. AS Quintana was open ALL DAY for body shots.
