Jr is a pretty good fighter. I can't say I'm a fan because I don't like watching fighters decide what they will do and pause before doing it. But he has a lot of gifts.

Just watched some of the post fight press conference, it was pretty sickening, I don't know who they had in there asking the questions but it was a massive love fest for Jr which I don't have a problem with really, the dude has just won, he should be allowed to bask in the glory for a few minutes, but the questions just seemed so amateurish
one of the questions was from some woman who sounded like she was talking through a mouthful of porridge ''um, you know the broken...uppercuts you were throwing, I think you broke his nose in I think, the 3rd or 4th round, I don't know HOW that guy carried on taking them shots, I mean THE POWER, well...it was just....''
Then there was a question from some little hood rat ''Waz da fight tuffer than you fought it wud bee, or did you fink, did you, did you fink wuz err wuz it eezia dan you fought it would bee''
I mean jesus christ did they drag these people in from Facebook or something?
Jr also says that he didn't try to get him out of there because he wanted to showcase his talent so the fact it went 12 rounds is actually better for him

I couldn't even be bothered to stay up to watch it after the Selby fight. Watched three rounds this morning then stopped. Zzzzzz - rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, exactly what was expected beforehand. It's akin to Groves fighting Glen Johnson, expect he did so in his 15th fight on an undercard not some PPV main event bollocks.
Certain micky mouse youtube boxing channels/boxing sites get press accreditation depending on how big an arse kisser they are for a particular fighter/promoter. I've seen/heard the "real" journos complain about them many times.
To be fair to the "hood rat" at least he asked a reasonable question. The next one was some young bird - "how dat guy take the power, the uppercuts?" These cunts don't even have the courtesy to call a 50 fight, 15-year veteran, former "world" champion by name. Why? Because they don't know who he is. Yet later they'll be doing a vid/podcast offering their "expert" opinions on all things boxing.

This is the problem I mean when was the last time he put someone to sleep?
His fitness levels are amazing though and he seems to have a Solid chin and fires straight back if he takes a heavy shot.
He did well last night and took a step back when needed so showed he's maturing and using his brain more.
This tournament is gonna be good but it's a shame Degale swerved it.
Looking forward to a potential Eubank v Groves semi final.
That's a great fight

I think Junior can beat Groves if he lands that uppercut on George who is vulnerable.

If Eubank bends at the waist at stares at the canvas, or turns his back or drops his hands wiggling his big head Groves will take one step sideways and batter the crap out of him. He basically failed to get a guy out of there that Paul Smith hung with. He thinks he is much better than he really is. BJS proved that already and Billy is not a heavy hitter. Jr took one long looping left off Abrahams all night and while he came back firing there was enough of a pause to show he felt it and a younger fighter would be following that up. Groves will not stand in front of him and let him tee off with uppercuts. I don't know how the format is going to work but who knows if they will meet yet anyway.
For me the difference is instinctual. Did Jr land a single counter punch, I can't remember one? Groves won't give him the time to decide what he will do, pause, then do it. Groves will make him fight in the moment with instincts. I saw nothing to suggest Jr is capable of that. Perhaps old Abe just didn't have what was necessary to bring it out of him. But with how fast Jrs hands were to how slow he was from deciding to doing I don't see instincts. That's how you miss a guy much slower than you by 3 feet with a left hook, the entire process from decision to execution is too slow.
IF Granny had bollocks I'd be calling him Grandad!
😂😂😂 the usual @Master knee jerk reaction.

Yes leave @Master alone, he is feeling rather persecuted at the moment for some reason

Junior next opponent Yildirim is suppose to be very good and dangerous opponent according to Groves. Junior must not take his next fight for granted but it would be great to see Junior v Groves.
