    Maybe, maybe not. Personally I think he would've, but it's a fair point. All I would say is if Ward isn't number 1, who is?

    There was only one fight close enough to possibly give to anyone else, Kovalev 1. No other fight was enough close enough to rob him if a fix was in

    Agreed. Ward dominated every other fight he has been in. Not even close.

    Although that is kind of wrong. I was there live when he fought Darnell Boone and he got knocked down. I thought he barely won the fight but the crowd booed the decision. It was a close fight early in his career.

    I'm not going to sh-t on anyone's list because it's all 'mythical' anyway but what about guys like Inoue, Yamanaka & Gonzalez?
