Peaking? What was he like on the way up and what will he like like on the way down? To be fair his chin seems solid so he will give other heavies rounds. The Whyte fight would be fun but I can't see him troubling anyone with or approaching a belt.

His legs make David Tuas look like Wilders. Its weird, the weight is nuts but looks largely concentrated in his base. Up top he's just fookin thick. He has the gift for gab down and knows how to make time on the mic. For a 'have a look' fight the Washington match was good chance and ties him into Wilder a bit, who he's been barking for over some months. To compare two fatties he has nothing on Andy Ruiz as far as boxing skill.

So is a straight up duck not to travel for Pulev fight or just a slackers route to the wba trinket? Not a fan of Miller talking it all up and then backing away.

I'll go with the latter. But its probably a little bit of both. Millers #3 across the board for Joshua in terms of mandatory. He probably figures its more trouble than its worth when he can just wait and hope someone puts mileage on AJ. Miller seems like a decent dude out of the ring but its probably the same motivation as most of the fighters today. He wants money and doesn't want someone like Pulev drawing back the curtain on his deficiencies(not that theyre already quite apparent). He'd rather get paid big to lose than take a chance and get paid smaller to win, secure his position for the winner of Wilder/ Joshua which will probably be the second fight at Wembly.

Miller likes to hang straight back and try to counter aggressors at theyre leaning into his counters. Not a very god style match up for Pulev that likes to throw punches in bunches and a straight line approach. Miller could wind up on his back a few times from some off balance flashies.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Yep and disappointing. It honestly reads a bit like the Wilder situation. But at least Wilder took a flight or two to actually get to a 'bigger show'. Miller now positions himself waiting on a geriatric Fres Oquendo who has not fought in 4+ yrs or Charr for empty belt who has never come to the States. I think both might be over estimating a strap rather than significance of a bigger win. Miller looked to be pushing many of his punches last out. Quicker than one would think given his size but after initial bursts he just kind of hangs in close.
