Former Undisputed 4 belt Prediction champion. Still P4P and People’s Champion.
That's what I say. My brother was telling me about it and is starting to think that mcgregor has a chance now. Ridiculous.
There are just so many factors to this whole thing that I don't want to type out. Basically, with retirement, being out of shape, not getting time to train, and jumping in the ring with someone with nothing to lose, you will probably have a few bad moments. Editing can make something seem more than it is. I'm interested if the whole sparring is released and not just a clip.
Also it is a legit knock down but it was more of a push/slip. Something you would call a knockdown but the punch was the least factor in him falling down.
Of course things can be edited to show whatever people want to show. But they aren't going to release the full 12 until after the fight because Conor might have been working on something he plans to do in the fight. But acting like this is nothing is as foolish as acting like it means Conor will win. Fact is Paulie was marked up both times, we now see Paulie has been lying to save face, and Conor did floor a 2 weight champion. Retired doesn't matter because it's only a short spell, Floyd has been retired far longer. All that matters is how much Paulie had left. Probably not much. But Conor is nolonger the guy Paulie could"fight with ankle weights so he couldn't move, tie one hand behind his back" etcetera. Even if Paulie did get the better over 12 (which we don't know because we can see he's already lied to save face) it's still quite clear Paulie is not head and shoulders better. What that means is debatable, but it's certainly not "nothing"

Almost ready to call a complete hoodwink process on all of this drawn out he said he said regarding 'sparring-gate 2017'. Firstly, it's sparring. Secondly, we do understand this is Paulie not Mayweather and it speaks volumes imo that Coners camp and himself would need to push this as relevant to that fact. Thirdly and just wondering, isn't there some sort of conflict of interest in a head commentator of the ppv network paid to promote and work the card serving in a paid capacity to one of it's headliners? I don't know..just seems awfully convenient..but sure keeps it in the news eh. More importantly above all, this event is a steaming pile and a middle finger in the center of the forehead of anyone laying down a nickel for it.

Did anyone see Paulie was using the Mayweather guard - which Paulie doesn't use in his fights.... so that probably played a part too (in hi getting hit more often using a guard he doesn't usually use)

They went 12 rounds and all the Conor camp could find from that was about 20-30 seconds of decent work.
Let's be honest Paulie was never that good as he hit like a school girl with a bad hand on his best night
So it's not that suprising that Conor could walk through him as he's a much larger man who's in his prime.

Not sure "intelligent boxing fans" is an apt stamp. We love watching men punch each other unconscious. Or worst case scenario punch each other until it becomes boring enough to choose a winner.
Like you've said in a million posts and counting - only idiots would be interested in this lark. Fun though init like![]()
