it's very true that there are many differences, culturally ideologically economically and politically between many in the us and the uk.
In fact, the cause of most misunderstandings between our politicians, tourists and also business people is that we make the mistake of not remembering that each is really a foreign country.
Having said that, our shared language and general values give us much more in common than there are dividers.
I can't think of any country where british people have so much in common with the inhabitants. Germany, maybe, but the language divides as does our recent history.
