Question for British: what would happen in your country if THIS happened?

I know they are just words and if someone called me one I would laugh at them as they are just trying to get a reaction which I would not give them the satisfaction.

A younger me would punch them.

Understood.....isn't it odd how these words get to such places in our minds and elicit such reactions?

I think with experience you see them for what they are which is a pathetic individuals trying to provoke you. Ignoring them or laughing at them is the best policy even if you are offended.
