Looks like he did quit in the rematch..

There's still big fights for him but if he quit against Ward
Then what's the point in coming back and fighting again?
He'll probably fight a few times in Russia and call it a career.

It seems obvious that the relationship with Kov and his trainer Jackson has deteriorated to the extend they will go their separate ways.
Jackson is saying Kov did not train as hard but also says he does not like taking body shots. Yet he was willing to go over to Ward's camp which shows that he is a disloyal man.
Artur Beterbiev now is favourite to beat Kov now

This is getting silly Master.
Give Ward his props.
The first fight could have went either way but Kovalev was in deep water in the 2nd half this time.
Kovalev is used to beating and bullying fighters around but this time a smaller man put him in his place.
Remember, Ward moved up to challenge the best at that weight...no catchweight, no adonis, no nothing.
He went for the best and beat him.

I was backing Kov for that fight, them punches were low but without them Ward would have got a legitimate stoppage with no controversy.
McGregor said that if he was allowed to see the 10th round out without throwing a single punch then he would have got a second wind.
If my Grandma had bollocks she'd be my Grandad
First fight was extremely close (and I gave it to Kov) second fight there was only one winner, credit where its due and all that
