He'll be fighting Horn for the Top Rank belt.
Right now Floyd is of course the bigger guy fighting at 154 and all, but Bud Crawford has all the talent in the world and is in his PRIME (reason #1 Floyd ain't fighting him or Thurman or Spence). Crawford is 5'8 (same as Floyd) he's got a shorter reach at 70" to Floyd's 72" but Crawford not only can box he has some pop to his punches.
I would like that fight much much more than a fight like Floyd vs McGregor
If Floyd really honestly and truly believed he "owed the fans" he'd have fought someone like Crawford instead of Conor....no disrespect to Conor but he's an MMA fighter not a boxer.

Forget disrespecting Conor he is a whore and equally as bad as Floyd for making that fight.
Floyd does not have 50 wins. That was not a boxer.

I don't blame Conor or Floyd for making money, make all the money you can, but that was an exhibition bout at best....if fair is fair then Floyd should fight Conor in an MMA bout
I do not blame those guys for making money, but that fight means NOTHING and Floyd looks bad for allowing Conor to stay in the fight for so long and do as well as he did....yes FLOYD LOOKS BAD from that fight. Maybe that's how he wants it ( to set up some other fight) , maybe he's just slowing down, I don't know, I don't care because it was an exhibition bout.

Doesn't make financial sense for Floyd to risk his record
This fight wouldn't do big numbers as Crawford isn't a big name.
Crawford has plenty of options but why not beat the piss out of Horn
That's an easy paycheque for him if he's willing to travel down under.
Doesn't make financial sense for Crawford to travel to Australia and risk his record.....that doesn't make sense Horn is not a huge name himself.
Crawford can have PLENTY of easy paychecks it's just the case of does he want easy money or does he want to establish himself as a great fighter and calling out Floyd, landing that fight, being the one to end Floyd's unbeaten streak would accomplish that and then some.
Floyd certainly doesn't HAVE to do anything, but the whole "He's too good to fight ________, ________, or _______" argument is a very weak one. He was shitty enough to fight somebody with 0 pro bouts and 0 pro rounds soooo fighting a Prime undefeated boxer would indeed check off some boxes for proper fight fans and although it wouldn't draw in MMA fans or rabid Irish fans it would draw eyes because it would be a dangerous fight.
@El Kabong there's no risk for Crawford because Horn is shit
Crawford would be risking nothing fighting Horn (he'd KO him)
Mayweather has retired and will be 41 in less than six months.
Really Crawford should be calling out Garcia, Thurman, Spence
Or other fighters in their prime around his weight class.
I don't care if Horn is shit. You assume Crawford would KO him (he probably would) but it doesn't mean there's no risk. And to that point if Floyd isn't willing to take a risk then that tells everyone the story of his career...the biggest risks he ever took were Diego Corrales and Canelo 2 guys in their primes....that is all, Great?
Mayweather can still fight, 41 is not all that old.
Crawford can call out whoever he wants if he's calling out Floyd and aiming for the tippy top of the boxing game then more power to him, I'm not going to begrudge him that. That's like Floyd making big money from BOXING an MMA fighter, I don't begrudge him the money, it's a shitty fight and whoever bought it is a dope, but I'm not saying the guy didn't earn that money. If Crawford is calling out Floyd it means he wants THE BEST so you call out Floyd and anyone can step up and answer that, Garcia Thurman Spence, anyone and I am sure they will.

I reckon that Mayweather knows that he has lost a step and that father time is catching up with him fast, he knows that Crawford or anyone like that would be a massive risk, hence why he fought someone who is not a boxer.
His ego is too big to let him risk the 0, I think that he is done.
I don't know who you consider great @El Kabong
But what was Ali, Leonard, Robinson and Jones doing at 41?
Floyd is still unbeaten and was still fighting at the highest level
Well into his late 30s whereas most guys had long since retired.
Leonard, Ali, Tyson, Jones were all getting beat up in their late 30s
You obviously want to see Floyd get beaten but it'll never happen
50-0 with hundreds of millions in the bank. He doesn't need Crawford.
Well, I'm sorry, I tried, but if you still can't see it, I can't help you.
Come on, seriously, you're not that stupid that you don't get it are you?
