There are always two sides of the story but generally there is truth to each side. I'm wondering if Kovalev really didn't train that hard? Maybe he got overconfident?
It is unlikely Kov would get overconfident especialy as he lost, in fact he would have trained harder.

Although I do not think Kov quit because of lack of training and remember those were low blows.

I was backing Kov for that fight, them punches were low but without them Ward would have got a legitimate stoppage with no controversy.

McGregor said that if he was allowed to see the 10th round out without throwing a single punch then he would have got a second wind.

If my Grandma had bollocks she'd be my Grandad

First fight was extremely close (and I gave it to Kov) second fight there was only one winner, credit where its due and all that

Read what I said Kov did not quit because of lack of training, Ward beat him and was the better man but those were low blows. It was still a close fight but Ward was the better man ultimately.

Kov should have taken a knee and fouled him back instead he quit and lost.
