I think David Lemieux hits harder than Canelo

GGG has handled light heavyweights like Jacobs in the ring

Lemieux might have more raw power than Canelo (he might)
But Canelo has quicker hands, he's more accurate with his shots
And he puts the punches together better so he's more dangerous.

As far as I know Jacobs has been a lifelong middleweight?

Yes Jacobs has but he did not weigh in again as IBF rules state and rumour was he was light heavyweight when he was in the ring.

My guess is that rumour was made by GGG fans
Or maybe even the man himself (his camp anyway)
To explain why his knockout streak came to an end.
Truth is Jacobs was just a lot better than anyone he'd fought before.

It's no rumour, I'm pretty sure that Jacobs confirmed in an interview that it was always his plan to come in heavy.

Now whether it was light heavyweight or not is another thing but he definitely planned on coming in big.
