This really isn't a huge fight for most boxing purists. It's a fight with upset potential but that's about it. I guess it's also a fight that Canelo haters can enjoy watching him getting beat down finally.

I admit that there is a slight chance of Canelo winning. He is good enough that if he comes in sharp and GGG comes in looking a bit old and slow then Canelo can pull it off. It's not an impossibility.

I've seen it time and time again. A mismatch is built up until even great boxing minds start to doubt the outcome. Most of the time it ends up exactly like everyone thought originally. So in that case, GGG wins comfortably on points. He may stop Canelo but I think that Canelo is tough enough to stay in there and survive.

Although the more likely result is a controversial points win for Canelo

I tend to look at this fight a little different than most. In my opinion,my he key won't be if Canelo can take GGG's punch, it will be how much affect Canelo's punches will have on GGG. I picked GGG to win by stoppage, but this is one of those fights that could become a whitewash if Canelo's punch hurts GGG. Their styles mesh perfectly and while I think GGG's pressure, solid fundamentals, and punch will win the day, I do see a strong chance that Canelo's counterpunching style causes problems for Gennady. If Canelo is able to hurt GGG with some solid shots early, will be a fantastic fight and could result with a Canelo win.

Loads in the media (ex-boxers/pundits) are picking Canelo.

If Golovkin loses there's gonna be swathes of "aftertimers" claiming they knew he wasn't the real deal all along. Be a terrible shame if Golovkin is remembered as a hype job, considering these last few years he really did become the "must watch" fighter for all serious boxing fans (even the haters like to watch him).

True but GGG has proven to have a good chin and I would be shocked if Canelo is the hardest puncher he has faced. I'm almost positive that Jacobs hits harder and he landed some clean shots and GGG never seemed too fazed.

Just woke up from a strange dream.

The dream involved Canelo stopping GGG in the championship rounds.

No standing 8 count was given.

As hard as that is to believe I will be going with that scenario.

Current vote says that 17 voters believe that GGG will win and only 2 believe Ginger Pubes will win

not a single person believes it will be a draw, would a draw be so hard to imagine?

and we still only have a total of 99.99%

I doubt anyone will be surprised at a draw if Golovkin knocks him down three times at least.

(I had some shrapnel on it at 25/1)

Draw's are very rare and this one won't end in a draw
Canelo will have a clear advantage in speed and he'll win most of the rounds
The question is, can Golovkin catch him late and grind him down?
I don't think he can but we'll see soon.
