Canelo avoided Golovkin for long enough and it was getting embarrassing for him to keep on making excuses as to why he did not immediately fight Triple G.

After Canelo loses he will carry on rebuilding his staged career until the next great fighter he meets.

@TitoFan I'm pretty sure Chavez out weighed Canelo
He was also much taller and had a huge reach advantage
Speed beats size so Golovkin can weigh what he wants.
    Boxrec seriously?
    This says it all.

Oscar fucking around with the weigh in time. I see Canelo missing the IBF 2nd weigh in for extra advantage.

Not sure but did the IBF remove the 2nd weigh in for championship fights?

    Or was that just unifications?

Did this count as a unification? Multiple titles are on the line but Canelo doesn't have one.

Golovkin is the naturally bigger man so it only helps him but I see you're getting the excuses in early
Just trying to get clarification son.

I'd watch Canelo like a hawk. He's not used to fighting guys on a fair and level weight playing field. This is unknown territory for him. Watch for diuretics (tips from JCC Jr.), and other weight-related shenanigans. Everyone knows that Canelo could rightfully fight at 168 or even 175 if he wanted to.

That's what I can't stand about Canelo and couldn't stand about Junior. As soon as Junior fought someone his own size (Fonfara), he got the snot beat out of him. To the point he quit on his stool. Everybody celebrated how he almost had Martinez out in the last round. Shit... he outweighed him by at least 30 pounds. Before that Martinez had pitched a perfect game.

I see GGG-Canelo going pretty much like Fonfara-Chavez Jr.

I'm a little peeved how Canelo is clearly being treated like the A side in this fight.

Golovkin is undefeated, he is pretty much the undisputed middleweight champion of the world, he has made 18 title defences. Canelo doesn't have a title and is moving up in weight (ha ha)

But Canelo's name is on the right hand side, his name is at the top of the posters, he is getting a bigger payday and - unbelievably - Golovkin will enter the ring first and be announced first, as if he is the challenger!

I dearly hope that there is not a 'funny' result to this fight, with the powers that be protecting their cash cow!!!

I will repeat myself, I am floored why so many people seem to think this is such a big fight. It's a decent fight. I mean GGG is a great fighter and Canelo is solid. So I'm not acting as if it isn't a good fight to be made, but there are a few fights in boxing right now that I would be more interested in.

Some talk as if this is a fight of the decade or something.

No excuse, just reality which Jacobs did too.

Canelo the bitch also will not be fighting for the WBC title because they forced him to fight GGG when he did not want to.

Fortunately GGG wins on Saturday and keeps all the trinkets together.
