Anyone believe in a throw away card to distract from absurdity of draw in the first place? How many had it a draw

basically a win win for Alvarez. Would like Golovkin to get a wild hair and tell rematch aka Canelo to sit in the back of the room while he takes lead. Basically it all resets.

Think a draw is the least biased score card there was i was ok with it or 115-113 for either fighter. But looking at the scores it all depends on how you scored first rounds for the fighters a lot people here were saying so close but edge it GGG. I thought the draw card was least biased one and be down for rematch. Man all i heard before this fight was GGG going to bulldoze the Ginger could not even floor the guy the still hate the guy after the great fight.

Also for the life of me do not understand why judges do not watch the fight on tv in a room away from the fight. You get such a better angle to score and this is a thing i do not get in boxing why not watch it on tv.

Yeah at least have a screen in front of them for when the ref or the other fighter gets in the way.

It is a strange anomaly. In a row along one side below the ring and they have the career and often the legacy of the fighters in their hands. It's 2017 and nobody is asking for replays or slow mo but rings, round length, gloves, shorts, even rules have changed, time to be a realist and supplement that tradition or at least talk about and implement a system at lower levels that improves the accuracy and makes their job easier. That said when there is such a huge discrepancy it's hard not to call bullshit out when bullshit is what it is. Homeclub, Hometown, Home Country, Ineptitude or being given too many golden tickets something smells fishy and it ain't the fruits de la mer.

I think the draw was the right call and that what ended up happening. I think rematch will end better for Canelo ever time i see him in ring his defence is getting better and better just has some holes still.

No way Canelo is going to want to share the ring again with Golovkin. It took him 18 months to do it the first time, they will now carry on making money against inferior fighters.

That's exactly what happened. Byrd did exactly what she was supposed to do with that card. Vegas is proud of her. Another massive event next Cinco.

Boxing judge Adalaide Byrd, who brought the sport into disrepute following Gennady Golovkin's title match with Canelo Alvarez, will not score a major title fight in the near future, the Nevada Athletic Commission has confirmed.

Many have called for the suspension of Byrd after she scored the world middleweight title fight 118-110 in favour of Mexican Alvarez, despite Golovkin landing significantly more punches than his opponent.
The other two judges scored the bout at 115-113 and 114-114 respectively, with many pointing to corruption as the reason behind Byrd's ludicrously lopsided scorecard.

Byrd was reportedly in tears after learning of the furore her judgment had caused on Saturday evening, and Bob Bennett, the Nevada Athletic Commission executive director revealed she will not be considered for upcoming bouts.

'I'm not going to put her right back in,' Bennett told the Los Angeles Times.

'She'll still be in the business … but she needs to catch her breath. Like in any profession, you have a bad night.

'Unfortunately, she didn't do well. I can tell you she conducts training for us, takes judges under her wing… but her score was too wide.'

Golovkin and Alvarez are all set for a rematch following their controversial draw, with both fighters open to the prospect when asked after the final bell at the T-Mobile Arena.

The Mexican boxer's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, revealed that his fighter had a clause built into his fight contract and he intends to invoke it.
