@Master if that is true (it's not) then he can continue to "get help" as he has no reason to leave home. Alvarez actually started his career at welterweight so he's moved up two divisions already whilst GGG has spent his entire career at middleweight and flat out refused to move up to prove himself against Ward.

Let Canelo stay at home at light middleweight.

GGG can continue to dominate and take all the trinkets at middleweight and continue to dominate.

@Master good for him, who do you think will make more money? Some big names at 147 that could meet Canelo at 154 (and would) who has GGG got to fight that people would care about?

Does not matter about the money, you can fight MMA fighters and make all the money in the world you will still be laughed at and damage your legacy.

Canelo will be accused of hiding, ducking and avoiding GGG.

You're the only person in the world who thinks a win damages your legacy and of course money matters, this is prize fighting! It's sweet that you think it's all about honour and pride sad but sweet.

    Money can not buy legacy.

Beating guys like Monroe, Wade, Macklin and Rubio really doesn't do much to pad the old legacy and I Doubt it pads the bank account much either so I guess those fights were just all together pointless for GGG.

@GAME it's not difficult to dominate a division when the division is dead! Who has GGG beaten in almost 40 fights? He has a razor thin decision over Jacobs as the best victory of his career. Ward didn't have to move to 175 and fight Kovalev, going by your logic it would have been more difficult for him to stay at 168... are you joking or just being bias?

Ward couldnt stay at 168. It takes a lot of discipline to make that weight year after year. It was easier for him to move up in weight where he felt stronger instead of weakening himself to make 168. There were challenges for him at 168 like Ramirez or fighting abroad something he's never had the courage to do.

fighting at home and relying on a dodgy decision to fight a fading Kovalev is not as disciplined as dominating a weight class for years

@Master those fights still did nothing to enhance his legacy. Beating Wade or Monroe doesn't mean much of anything and he had loads of defences like that (against bums)

@GAME Who has GGG beaten that compares to Kovalev? You have no idea what weight Ward can make, seriously you sound bias and you're really reaching as Ward has had a far better career than Golovkin

    .

Ward didnt beat beat Kovalev in either fight properly. Dominated the 1st time then low blowed his way to hometown corruption in the return.
Golovkins beat Danny Jacobs and even the Mexicans know he beat Alvarez. If you want triple g to move up two weights let's see Ward do it first vs Joshua. I give him 2 rounds til he is KTFO

Its more ore difficult to dominate 1 weight class than it is to cherry pick paper titles in different weigh classes cus if you stay in 1 division you can't avoid the best.

Canelo has been calling himself middleweight champ ever since he beat a washed up Cotto and I'm sure there were a couple Canelo weight fights before that so he's been a middleweight for years. It makes sense why the ducked Golovkin for so many years now. He had his chance thought GGG was washed up but ultimately he got significantly outlanded and couldn't win.

maybe better luck next may. Golovkin will be even older then
