Wonder how much it cost the British taxpayer to keep Ian Brady alive for over 50 years in prison.

If he was out he would have lived his life on benefits and that costs the tax payer as well.

I have a strong belief in people, I think they can all achieve ergo I EXPECT them to achieve and therefore I'm not a fan of living one's life on benefits.

I agree but I think he would have had a hard time finding employment or have a business.

I completely agree with Master that the death penalty makes miscarriages of justice sometimes impossible to correct. There have been many many cases when the wrong person has been convicted of a serious crime.

Having said that, if somebody committed a heinous crime against me or a member of my family, I would probably want them dead.

If justice was infallible, I'd probably be all for the death penalty...... or in cases where everybody knows they've got the right person. Serial killers caught red handed, or a pseudo with his dick in a kid.

CCTV or video evidence of a crime is pretty much 100% proof.

For murderers, rapists, repeat offenders where it's is 100% they are guilty I'd be fine with it.

I remember watching police having video evidence of a person they caught with drugs on camera only to find later they had edited it and planted the drugs on him.
