I don't know how a guy can sustain injury like that and not have it in the back of his mind. But in fairness that has to go for anyone previously badly sparked out or a jaw shattered. He’s old and well past his prime. Brook quit twice in world title fights at home. Margarito knocked out Sergio Martinez, Kermit Cintron and Miguel Cotto (all in their primes and all undefeated) Brook isn’t fit to lace his gloves.

In short, no.

Brook sustained broken orbital bones around and of the eye socket. They doctors assessed the damage and repaired the damage (probably with titanium plates-- as bone tends to graft to titanium- which is why they use it for dental implants). I write another post on one of the other threads where the subject comes up. There are nhl enforced that had the same injuries and continued their careers getting punched in the face by 6'8 240 pounders.

Margarito seems to have sustained nerve damage. Hence the glass eye melting face look he sports. 'Cheato's ability to take abuse is more integral to his style of fighting than brook. Aside from the last two fights where he sustained the damage Brooke's been able to avoid sustaining a large amount of punishment due to his use of angles and in and out fighting and rolling with punches. Brooke still has a level of skill that can nick him a victory around many of the fighters near his weight. 'Cheato at this point is burned out pug who's fighting on heart/insanity at this point for money. I think he knows that theres no glory that will change peoples opinion of him. The eye could very likely get worse.

No it's not it's a boxing match. Do you not even understand the fundamentals ? If it was just a fight with the sole aim of hurting the other person, you would bring a cricket/baseball bat, and take the guys knees out before smacking him around the head.
