Another 'acquaintance' of mine - not a friend, we played on the same pool team - clearly follows Pegida UK and also Germany on Facebook. I see his 'likes' and comments.

On the evidence of the stuff I see in my feed, Pegida are pretty full of hate, they post lots of questionably truthful news and they use Muslims as their 'other' who it's OK to hate and fear. They do have an undercurrent of militarisation and dehumanising 'others'.

It's likely, though not definitely provable, that they feel similar about many 'others' who are not heterosexual, nationalistic, Christian ethnic indigents of their own country.
