He has a great KO ratio and can bang - but Hatton has a great set of whiskers and throws more punches.

Hatton would know Cotto would be fiendishly strong upto round 5 and would probably opt to box and spoil like he did against Ben Tackie (a superb boxing display by Hatton) - as Tackie came at him throwing bombs, Hatton fought excellantly off the back foot, which is something he has neglected of late, but can certainly do.

From 5 onwards, Hatton would start to come on stronger and start going through the gears, upping the tempo as Cotto's stamina started failing him.

Ultimately, i see Cotto being shaken in the late rounds as he tires and losing on points.
Pretty good post-if you are a Hatton fan. Cotto does not throw enough punches? It doesn't matter. He always winds up KOing his opponents or seriously disfiguring their faces. Cotto has a great jab and can fight going backward, which he will no doubt do if he fights Hatton. Though Hatton has "whiskers," Cotto punches harder than anyone Hatton will have faced. Hatton was shaken by Collazo, imagine what Cotto can do to Hatton in the power department. One thing I agree, though. Hatton simply keeps coming and at 140 Cotto must kill himself to make the weight, meaning he can lose the later rounds. But the fight doen't last into the later rounds. Cotto takes him out in 9 at 140 and earlier at 147.
