Charles Manson is fascinating, regardless of how 'evil' he is or was, he must have had something about him, to command the amount of respect from that amount of people is impressive.
It isn't only the fact that he didn't partake in the killings but he didn't actually instruct them to do it, he planted seeds without ever directly telling them to do anything.

If you watch interviews with him he seems absolutely fucking unhinged but I'd love to have been a fly on the wall around that time.

Charles Bronson is someone who should never have been locked up for as long as he has been, Charles Manson on the other hand deserves every second that he has spent behind bars, and even though he didn't kill Sharon Tate and the Labiancas (I think that was their names) he was instrumental in it and it has all but been confirmed that he directly killed at least one person himself prior to that.

When you give your cult members copious amounts of LSD every single day it'll help garner that whole "I need something stable to cling tightly to in my life because everything else is super crazy"

He doesn't get enough credit for being a rabid foaming at the mouth racist, he was trying to engineer a race war....which is also a delusion of grandeur that 1 person would be able to start such a thing.

I also believe one of his followers tried to assassinate Gerald Ford as well...Squeaky Fromme I believe was her name

I think that he has been on PC/special needs yards almost from his first day. They had to take him off the yard at old Folsom because he was getting bullied.

Agreed but even with the LSD it was still a pretty ambitious plan

And hell we all know that that comes directly from personal experience

To hold that sort of influence is impressive, along the lines of Jim Jones' influence. Cults, I've never understood them.

'Organized' and LSD is something that always got me about his flock. You can barely...I've heard...make it in a convenience store to pay for gas let alone a home invasion without hours of distraction.

I was actually having a dream that I saw Charles Manson kill 2 people last night, in the middle of my dream my phone went off and it was a Sky News alert saying that he had died.

Other than him being a fascinating character he is no loss to the world at all.

Yea I remember taking a 15 minute drive with 2 mates all tripping our nuts off. It was at night and took us about an hour. The traffic lights were all blending into one, we kept getting distracted in conversation and all just in hysterical laughter. Fantastic time.
