I had seen Wangek against Caudras and thought he was unlucky it was stopped on a cut. He was really coming on and giving Carlos hell. Thought Gonzalez won the first fight, so expected him to win the rematch. Weight, death of his trainer, age, wars etc all caught up at once it seems.

Not overhyped, just past his sell by date by accumulation and weight. Best of him is long gone.
Well that's a shame for Gonzalez, if that's the case he had a very brief stay near the top of the sport.
