I'd say Ali 1965 is pretty much unbeatable, super fast hand & footwork and that nasty killer instinct was at it's peak plus he was by no means a tiny heavyweight either.
1965 was only a year before he put on the best "clinic" i have ever seen from a Heavyweight in what is widely acknowledged as his best performance.
Ali was on FIRE against Williams.

I could watch this all day long - Electrifying

Anything is possible and there are always styles matchups which create problems for fighters. I remember on another message board I would get crucified for ever saying that sugar ray Robinson would lose because of a style matchup.

Anyways, I think he is the best HW ever and would beat most everyone during his prime. I think like Mikeod said, Bowe I think has the best chance. If Bowe is focused, he is bigger and is quick. I think he would keep Ali guessing. Lewis would also give him troubles because of the height. I think both Klits get destroyed by Ali despite their size advantage.

If Jones Jr can come in lite and pick up a trinket, 65' Ali cruises it. He clowns Wilder.

Pomp Roy weighing around 195 against Ali would have been a fascinating style matchup.

Maybe on their best day some of the fighters mentioned could beat that version of Ali but they are never going to be greater than him.

What he achieved in his career would be more than all of them rolled up in one.

Styles makes fight. That version of ALI would be dangerous for any HW of any era but is by no mean indestructible. I could see a giant HW like the Klishko brothers in their prime giving him any kind of troubles with size and jab. Not saying they would beat him, but they have all the tools to do so.

Agree 100%. If I question your heart you cannot be a great champion.
