WBA regular belt isn't a world title belt , you cant have 2 WBA belt holders in the same division lol. Pathetic.

Better described as 'current renters pending paid deposit' in most cases. Wba will cover itself in glory with 45 yr old preserved fossil Fres Oquendo in line for a strap. Crap the ibo....has 8 vacant trinkets.
remember when The Ring belt had it's 15 minutes of fame with major networks ignoring sanctioning belts and other boxing mags refusing to list them. Great year or two, not sure what happened.
Estrada vs Wangek could be for the vacant Ring belt with Inoue moving up.
The WBA had been slowly getting rid of titles. I think they have roughly half the champions they had last year.
They live, We sleep
He defended it about 5 times ffs. Wow the hate is strong if you didn't consider Quigg to be a legit world title holding super bantam weight. Next you will be claiming the WBO has more meaning or that the WBC have some kind of ethical standard that they impose. There is no bench mark among any of the sanctioning bodies when it comes down to legitimacy or consistency, it is just not there. They are all as bad as each other. The only consistent genuine belt worth defending is the British Lonsdale belt and it will be a cold day in hell before you ever stand up for that .
How am I a hater? I like Quigg a lot. when he fought Frampton, I tipped him to win AND wanted him to win. I also admire him having the balls to go to Freddie Roach to try to further himself.
My point was, and it's not specifically aimed at Quigg , was how can he call himself a WBA WORLD Champion when they had another "WORLD" champion that Quigg , Frampton and every other fighter in the division at the time BLATANTLY avoided to the extent that the only fights he could get were 2 divisions north!
It's not even a "Brit Dig" either , it's just the example I thought of at the time . having now gone read the list on the OP , I could easily have used Manuel Charr and Tyron Zeuge as examples .
Now for 2018, why don't we get hold of that little box marked "Paranoia" and throw it out of the window.![]()

I agree with Primo, it is not a legit world title. The super title is WBAs world title and the one Quigg one is more like a WBC Silver title or some shite like that.
Added to that is the fact that Quigg never really won his world title. He beat Rendall Munroe for an interim title and then drew with a Cuban and got promoted to world champ.
Unlike Primo its pretty clear I never really liked Quigg. Hes a nice guy but just dont think hes that good.
Problem is, if you give one belt precedence over another you're heading down a road full of nonsense and hypocrisy.
Frampton was a "real" world champion yet conveniently fought for an organisation that ignored the existence of Rigo. He was crowned champion by beating a man he'd already knocked out, the same man that Rendall Munroe, the guy Quigg stopped, had already beat twice.
The only difference between Frampton and Quigg was an abbreviation, not form or quality of opposition. There's either one standout champion per division or there's not. Everyone else, regardless of belt, is a challenger.
Look at the recent furore over Crawford unifying four straps? Fans think it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, when in reality, he took two belts off a man that outpointed Ricky Burns. How did Burns get the title? He was awarded a vacant edition against Michele Di Rocco (a man that struggled to get past Lenny Daws - British level). How did Crawford gain his first title at 140? Vacant title, didn't face a champion.
Crawford was already the standout no.1 in the division yet the majority of fans and so-called "experts" (writers, journos, pundits) were all giddy over a mismatch because four pieces of bling were on the line. Now he's the CLEAR P4P no.1 (they argue). Why? Well, he has all the belts.... do me a favour for gawds sake.

It's difficult to say which (if any) of the organisations talk the most sense and are the least hypocritical, but off the top of my head, I would say taking everything into consideration the IBF probably makes most sense. Their match ups and rankings usually make sense and I like the 10lb next day weigh in rule. It's a shame they all don't follow that rule.
