One of the frustrating things was that when Porter was interviewed about being more active this year he basically said that he is the mandatory for Thurman and wants to wait for that fight. He even knew that Thurman was taking an easy fight in April. Porter could easily fight Spence if he wanted it but he doesn’t.

Porter was saying that because he's not rated by the IBF the Spence fight can't happen next. Spence should fight Porter for his mandatory position.

And that's exactly what Thurman was saying last interview I saw when he was running on about 'maybe 2018 or even 2019' regarding Spence. Dropped Porter is his mandatory a few times. Porter no where to be found in ibf rankings, but sits as mandatory #1 for Thurman. Haymon has a leveling up factory going. I'm beginning to think Spence is wasting his time and shouldn't have to clamor for Thurman who has his own reestablishing to do.
