Thanks pal, I usually don't buy from pawn shops as some stuff is stolen but there are a few nice ones around. The particular watch I'm looking for should only be 90-110. I actually also buy broken watches and repair them, the workmanship is amazing with all the small gears and springs. It's just a hobby but I like it.
That is pretty cool. A lot of crafts are dying and it is easy to forget how important they are. I bought both my Grandsons (4 and 6) their first watches this Christmas just gone. They were always fascinated by mine and asked for a tick tock one like Grandads. Just cheap ones but with a face and hands, and one of them glows in the dark. I asked the oldest why he wanted a glow in the dark one and he said "Then i can check when Mum sends me to bed if it is really bedtime or not"
