I only gave Quigg one round. I could see possibly a few rounds he could have gotten but Valdez clearly won.

Quigg would murder Frampton in a rematch , Valdez will murder Santa Cruz.
Quigg has never been one of my favourite fighters but hats off to him there, fought a really good fight, Valdez was the clear winner but Quigg never stopped.
His nose was quite comical at the end as well.
So did Quigg redeem himself after not making weight?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
It was a great fight, credit to both guys. This is the thing about Boxing, looking at the scores , it looks like Quigg got hammered, and his face. But some of those rounds were close and Valdez had to work really hard for the win he deserved.
Interesting to see where both of these go next. I’m there to be shot down, but my own opinion is that Selby is the man in this division, but he needs to prove it, and his next fight doesn’t really prove anything. Should be fairly routine.
I feel for Quigg a bit because he missed the weight by quite a bit and that always brings up the “unprofessional” comment, from me as much as anybody. But he must be really gutted because he is so professional and so dedicated.
Former Undisputed 4 belt Prediction champion. Still P4P and People’s Champion.
Right guy won pity I like Scott good fight.
Lots of talent at 126. I also really like Joseph Diaz, if he can beat part timer Russell Jr he puts himself at the top of the division.
Valdez gets a heap of credit, he had to work hard but who knows his big Quigg was in that ring.
They live, We sleep
Crazy really. I don't mind if you blow up after making the official weight, but when you fail you should have a re-hydration weight applied to you. Valdez has been in a few wars already, who knows what sort of toll the jaw injury and this battle against a much bigger man will have on him.
They live, We sleep
No surgery for Oscar Valdez but return unknown after jaw wired shut for 5 weeks

Not surprised that he won’t be back in the ring for a while. Unfortunate because he will probably be out for a year then have to take a tune up. So he probably won’t have a big fight until at least mid 2019.
