The text chat feature is just something for Fight night and is more immediate, i.e. no need to refresh browser
Be good to try it all out next week and see if it adds anything to the experience for members here. Even have a laugh with it.
So far, the Appear_In webpage is by far the easiest way to have a conference call without having to register or install extra software.
A quick 4 minute tutorial on the Appear. In is here,

I will try and download it.

I dunno man, end of a round hit refresh, see what people have posted and add a quick thought of your own.
Rather than having to scroll back through constant live chatter, I can see it being harder work than putting out a quick post.
I'm all for you lot trying it out but I'll not be giving it a go, I also like being able to read through the posts if I have missed the fight, it gives a live opinion on how a fight unfolded rather than just summaries after the event.
That is cool, it is a bit like skype.

Echoing the others... good idea, but probably wouldn't work for me. Even just refreshing, reading, and typing a short comment is pushing it with me, as the minute between rounds seems to fly by.![]()
Maybe I'm more of a traditionalist but seems you'd lose the blend of individuality in posts and mass appeal in larger fights with limit of 4 people. After that they want you to pay for it no? RBRs fly by and refreshing happens on it's own if folks just chime in. Surely seeing how ugly each other is will forever ruin the vibe. I mean what's the point of a typed forum if we're all in a group meet. Really though it's a different avenue, be interesting and maybe try it on a random board or thread to see how kinks work out?
just realized we actually had a group chat feature below posts but looks like it's no longer there? I remember on old rbrs you would have a handful of posters start a closed chat while in an active rbr. It turned into basically split groups which felt odd. Hey anything to encourage participation as rbr were the reason I started here and stayed. Now though depending on fighters if it's not a HUGE fight it can be lonely as feck.
