All that story is utterly funny and sad at the same time;
I can buy the idea that in Mexico, they have a problem with the beef, because those who own cattles did give that or this to their beefs. That, to me, sounds very plausible. HOWEVER, when you are a top boxer and training in Mexico, aren't you supposed to be aware of that? Isn't it your responsability to know what you're throwing in your plate? If I would be a guy, young and filthy rich like Canelo, I would test the provenance of my meat to make sure that everything is legit and every supplement I would buy would be tested the same way. When you win a couple of millions for a fight, paying a few K's to make sure that you don't have any problems down the line just seem like the proper thing to do.
